Guided walking tour
Explore the unspoiled countryside during a walking tour throught the area of Sophienhof – a great opportunity to get to know the vegetation and to observe animals in natural surroundings.

Day trips
Day trip to Etosha
The best way to reach Etosha National Park is the Anderson Gate, which is situated 100 km from Sophienhof Lodge. If you set off early, you'll have all day to look around. The variety of animals is very impressing. After an extensive tour throught the park you'll be back at Sophienhof late in the afternoon.
Day trip to Vingerklip
A short tour to Vingerklip is perfect to enjoy the wonderful panoramic view over the Ugab Terraces. Take a look at the monumental pillar of rock, which consists of more than 300 million years old chalkstone. If you wish to, you will have lunch at Ugab Terrace Lodge during the trip.
Day trip to Ugab Terraces
A trip from Sophienhof Lodge to the gorgeous Ugab Terraces at the other end of the farm takes only about 20 minutes. Enjoy the breathtaking view over the whole valley.
Day trip to Otjiwarongo Crocodile Farm
If you want to watch all kinds of crocodiles and take photos of them, you should visit the crocodile farm in Otjiwarongo (distance to Sophienhof: 90 km). There you can learn everything about these primeval lizards and the breeding methods.>
